 From a friend:

“As a Real Estate lobbyist Jung has also stopped lots of pro tenant legislation from winning at the ballot. Like Prop G the anti speculation tax that went down to defeat in November of 2014. She and her RE connections spent 2 million to defat Prop G. They were less than honest in how they depicted the Tax & many property owners were falsely told if it passed they would not be able to sell their property . That being said, I’m not surprised the role she has played in the Recall Boudin campaign .”

6 PETITIONS

1. Tell your legislators to reject Newsom’s Monster Nuclear Bailout!

SIGN: Tell your legislators to Reject Newsom’s Monster Nuclear Bailout! – Action Network

send a letter to your California legislators and tell them to vote no on any legislation to extend the lifetime of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. Californians deserve better than unsafe, unreliable, dirty energy. Newsom’s nuclear bailout upends the energy resource development needed to meet California’s clean energy and climate goals while conning ratepayers and taxpayers for billions of dollars of wasted and misdirected investment in nuclear energy.

2. Negotiations Urgently Needed to avoid a large-scale Nuclear Catastrophe

SIGN: Negotiations Urgently Needed to avoid a large-scale Nuclear Catastrophe in Ukraine (everyaction.com)

Both Russia and Ukraine have finally agreed to have the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), the UN’s nuclear watchdog, inspect the plant.  IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi is leading a team of inspectors who arrived today in the city of Zaporizhzhiya, 34 miles from the plant.

Given the international concern about a potential catastrophe at Zaporizhzhia, we must do all that we can to urge our country to engage in Negotiation.

Unfortunately, President Biden last week announced a further $3 billion in military aid, which will further prolong the war.  He announced no new diplomatic initiatives.

3. To: All speakers at Saudi’s Global AI Summit 2022

4. SFHA Reverse Illegal Eviction

SIGN: Petition · SFHA Reverse Illegal Eviction · Change.org

Years of displacement, public housing teardowns, bad policy favoring property owners, gentrification and structural racism has decimated our African American population in San Francisco.

LaKetha Pierce loves San Francisco and has spent her adult life giving to this city, as a caregiver in health care, as a service provider to unhoused people and today as a leader fighting for housing and human rights for impoverished San Franciscans.  In 2010, during a time of personal struggle with postpartum depression, she was illegally evicted from public housing.  Eviction proceedings were filed against her for owing $250, and she and her family members attempted to pay several times before the Sheriff got there and were refused by property management.

Since then her family has suffered homelessness, living in cars, in shelters, in hotels, moved out of the city on a temporary housing subsidy twice and became homeless again each time when the subsidy ended.  The whole time she continued working in San Francisco

Please sign this petition calling for the Housing Authority to rescind the eviction and move Laketha and her sons back home in public housing!

5. Kaiser, Don’t Deny Patients Need Access to Timely and Consistent Mental Health Services

6. Demand Congress regulate chemicals that contaminate our food and drinking water and jeopardize our health

SF

Wear RED-ORANGE for climate fires and disasters!

A broad coalition will descend on 1 Post Street in San Francisco to demand that our elected officials here in California hold the line against any dirty side deal with Manchin and the fossil fuel industry. If passed this deal that would sacrifice frontline communities, fast-track dangerous fossil fuel projects, and gut bedrock environmental laws for environmental review and community input on infrastructure projects.

Join us in a rally on Thursday, Sept 1st outside Senator Feinsteins office to demand that she take action to stop this dirty deal. We can’t allow communities to be sacrificed to more fracking, pipelines, and climate disasters.

In person

SF Interim DA Jenkins Office (outside)
350 Rhode Island
SF

SF MUNI  # 22 Line

Event is outdoors on the sidewalk on a slight hill.

Mothers On The March will be at interim SF DA Brooke Jenkins office.

Since Mayor London Breed appointed Jenkins to replace DA Chesa Boudin, more has been exposed about Jenkins lies and deceit.

Now, she has entered the November election.

The Chinatown Townhall that SFPD Chief Scott and Interim SF DA Jenkins held –  was a public relations event for SFPD and for Jenkins upcoming election.

Both were advocating for more police, more $$ for SFPD and increase surveillance without dealing with the root causes of ‘Asian Hate’.

They are causing more hate and divisions between the Asian, Black, and Brown communities.

The event was Jenkins 4th or 5th appearance in SF Chinatown since becoming the DA.

All are welcomed to RESIST with Mothers On The March and People from the Community

Since Mayor London Breed appointed Brooke Jenkins as the interim SF DA, there has been many questions raised about her from the reason she left the DA’s Office to her role in the recall campaign of DA Chesa Boudin.

There are even more questions raised of some of her decisions since being in the DA role!
