PDAMERICA • Started streaming 81 minutes ago Later on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles, PDA will be co-hosting an in-person fundraiser with Cori Bush. But that won’t keep Cori from dropping in on our Town Hall for a quick update on her razor’s edge primary. Just like her fellow Squad members, Summer Lee and Jamaal Bowman, faced earlier this year, Cori is facing unprecedented spending by right-wing donors in support of her main opponent. Foremost among these donors is AIPAC’s main Super-PAC, United Democracy Project. This should surprise no one, as Rep. Bush was the first member of Congress to introduce legislation calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, way back on October 16, 2023. History has proven Cori correct. How many tens of thousands of innocent human lives would’ve been spared? Would Israel’s international standing be destroyed? If only the President and Congress had heeded Cori’s advice. But, of course, nothing infuriates the powers-that-be than being proven incorrect—and now, as right-wing oligarchs are going after Cori with a vengeance, the more liberal super-rich sit idly by, complicit to another crime against our democracy. Indeed, it’s up to us progressives to do what’s right, and rally in defense of one of the most forward thinking members in the history of Congress, the representative from Missouri’s first district Cori Bush!
