SAN FRANCISCO DEMOCRATIC PARTY ENDORSEMENTS

Last Wednesday, the SF DCCC met to make our endorsements for the six Board of Supervisors races and for Mayor. We endorsed candidates in every race: Marjan Philhour in District 1, Danny Sauter in District 3, Bilal Mahmood in District 5, Myrna Melgar in District 7, Trevor Chandler (#1 rank) and Roberto Hernandez (#2 rank) in District 9, Michael Lai in District 11, and London Breed for Mayor. Vote tallies are available on our website here.We passed a resolution supporting Member Mike Chen for his nomination to the SFMTA Board and a resolution to support and elect queer women into political office.Thank you to all of the members of the public who came out to the meeting and sweated it out with us until 10:30 pm in the State Building basement with no air conditioning. We appreciate your input and participation. We will be back on August 28 for endorsements on the school board, City College trustee, and local ballot measures.

For District 1 Board of Supervisor, the San Francisco Democratic Party announces Marjan Philhour as our sole endorsement. Marjan will continue to fight for public safety, support small businesses, and be a champion for her community.BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, DISTRICT 1
For District 3 Supervisor, the San Francisco Democratic Party announces Danny Sauter as our sole endorsement. Danny is a long time community activist and organizer who is a champion for safe neighborhoods, affordable and abundant housing, and economic recovery.BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, DISTRICT 3
For District 5 Supervisor, the San Francisco Democratic Party announces Bilal Mahmood as our sole endorsement. Bilal will prioritize affordable and middle-income housing, address public safety and the fentanyl crisis, and work to revitalize San Francisco’s downtown.BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, DISTRICT 5

For District 9 Supervisor, the San Francisco Democratic Party announces Trevor Chandler as our #1 ranked endorsement. Trevor will prioritize safe and clean streets, streamline permitting so small businesses can open faster, and work to address the homelessness and addiction crisis.We are also pleased to announce Roberto Hernandez as our #2 ranked endorsement. Join the San Francisco Democratic Party in supporting these local candidates for public office by signing up to volunteer, donating to the party and help us get out the vote this November! Finally, we also know the critical importance of doing our part to help elect Democrats across California and the nation win in November so that we can take back the House of Representatives, retain the Senate and the White House, and build on the progress that President Biden has made these past four years by supporting the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party, our very own Vice President, Kamala Harris.
