Tim Walz Delivers Keynote Address at South Carolina Democratic Party Convention

electron me May 31, 2025 Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D-MN), the 2024 Democratic vice presidential nominee and presidential candidate, delivered the keynote address at the South Carolina Democratic Party’s 2025 state party convention. Walz said the party has to recognize that it has lost its way and a new strategy is needed to win elections on a national level. Walz stated Democrats need to “work for working people” and “be their champions again.” Walz also attacked President Donald Trump, calling him a “bully” and encouraging Democrats to “bully him back.” The governor’s brief adventure outside of the North Star State will help him keep his national profile up after his unsuccessful White House bid last year with then-Vice President Kamala Harris. He’s expected to seek a third term for governor and has said that he would “certainly consider” a run for president.
