This Sunday, Journalists Coordinate Efforts for Democracy
Democracy Day, a nationwide collaborative reporting effort to sound the alarm about threats to democracy in the United States, is coming up Sunday, Sept. 15.
This national day of coordinated coverage launched in 2022 to encourage news organizations to produce more, and better, elections stories.
All types of newsrooms, including the Public Press, will publish stories on the Democracy Day page and on social media with the hashtag #USDemocracyDay.
It’s also a great day to make a donation to help power our nonpartisan voter guides and free public election events.
Plus, your gift at$5, $10 or any amount made on Sunday, Sept. 15, will be matched up to $500 by NewsMatch!
