Learn how activists in Florida:

  • put on an annual Medicare for All virtual town hall event with Congresspeople from Florida,
  • successfully encouraged several cities in Florida to pass Medicare for All resolutions,
  • drafted an updated version of the Florida single payer bill, the Healthy Florida Act, which will be introduced soon,
  • also wrote up a bill to cap the copay for Insulin at $35/month – similar bills already were implemented in 25 states all across the country,
  • asked many candidates and elected officials to sign onto NNU’s Patients over Profits pledge,
  • successfully encouraged a U.S. Rep from Florida to co-sponsor the State Based Universal Health Care Act
  • and carried out many additional campaigns.
