No Eviction without Representation Ballot Measure!

A group of tenants and activists have taken the first step towards putting a new initiative– No Eviction without Representation– on the ballot for June. This historic measure would make SF the first city in California, and the second in the nation, to provide a lawyer to tenants facing eviction. The impact this universal measure will have for renters in SF is going to be instrumental in curbing the widespread displacement that San Francisco is suffering from, and homelessness, which is often caused by eviction. But we’ve got a long way ’til the ballot! We’ll be starting a massive signature gathering effort soon to make it happen. If you want to stop unlawful evictions in SF, join us!

We’ll be kicking off signature gathering with a rally on Saturday, December 2nd at 11 AM at the Tenants Union at 558 Capp Street. If you’d like to learn the ropes and be a Signature Captain, contact us soon. Write Jen Snyder, the campaign’s Field Director, at jencsnyder@gmail.com or fill out the form at http://www.sfrighttocounsel.com/volunteer.
