1200px-Delaine_Eastin_Headshot.jpgThis month San Francisco Democrats will have the opportunity to hear directly from Delaine Eastin, a candidate for California Governor in 2018. Delaine is a former California State Assemblymember, former State Superintendent of Public Instruction, a professor, and businesswoman. She was the first woman to be elected as the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Delaine will make a 10 minute presentation followed by 15 minutes of questions from SF DCCC members and the public.

In addition, SF DCCC members will take up the following items of business:

  • Proposed By-Law Amendments and Updates to the Policy & Procedure Manual Regarding Use of San Francisco Democratic Party Name and Conflict of Interest Disclosure
  • Resolution Supporting Protections for Kidney Dialysis Patients and Clinic Workers (Campos, Groth, Low, Gallotta, F. Hsieh, Alysabeth)
  • Resolution Condemning the Rollback of the Affordable Care Act Contraceptive Mandate (Gupta, F. Hsieh, Jung)
  • Resolution Urging Senator Feinstein and Leader Pelosi to Support Medicare for All (Gallotta, Gupta, F. Hsieh, Groth, DeJesus)

All members of the public are able to give public comment at the start of the meeting on all items on the agenda and, in addition, other matters germane to party business but not on the agenda.
