Sensible Cinema is back this month.  Melvin is still recuperating but working in the background to make this happen.  He’s improving and was transferred to a re-hab facility (Pacific Heights Transitional Care Center) at 2707 Pine St. on the corner of Divisadero and Pine in SF.  Visiting hours are everyday from 9:00 to 7:00 pm.  He welcomes vistors.
Our film is a unique perspective on how the situation in Palestine progressed in the last 50 years or maybe not progressed is a better way to describe it.

Palestine Is Still An Issue is an in-depth documentary by John Pilger, released in 2002.   Pilfer returns to the Occupied Territories of West Bank and Gaza where he previously filmed a documentary with the same title in 1977.

The film looks at the origins of the current bombings by Israel and the nature of Israel’s colonial settlements.

In a series of extraordinary interviews with both Palestinians and Israelis, filmmaker John Pilger weaves through the issue of Palestine, continually asking for the solution which is to bring justice, as well as Peace to Palestine.

After the screening there will be a discussion and Q&A.
