RIGGED
THE VOTER SUPPRESSION PLAYBOOK
Virtual Screening, Friday, October 16, 2020, 6:00pm
Rigged, The Voter Suppression Playbook is a film about a voting crisis in the U.S. It’s described as a documentary directed by Michael Kasino and narrated by Jeffrey Wright. The film chronicles how our right-to-vote is being undercut by a decade of dirty tricks, including partisan use of gerrymandering and the gutting of the Voter Rights Act by the Supreme Court.
This film is brought to us as a virtual screening and a post-screening discussion by the American Issues Initiative. We will actually watch the film together via Zoom.
For more information please contact:
Melvin Starks (melvinstarks734@yahoo.com) or Larry Danos (415-722-6480
The film is Rigged: The Voter Suppression Handbook. We will screen it by Zoom to you and we’ll have a discussion afterwards. The film screening and discussion will be handled by a representative from American Issues Initiative (see flyer below & attached). We will start the film at 6:00pm instead of at our regular time of 6:30pm. I hope you can make it.
Here’s the Zoom link to watch the film and to take part in the discussion afterwards:
