While San Francisco’s most vulnerable working class communities continue to be displaced, big banks like Wells Fargo and Chase, which have come under fire for their unethical practices, continue to hoard wealth that could be used to stop displacement of the city’s seniors, people with disabilities, and African-American and immigrant families, while refusing to help its own borrowers who need help. Everyday people from these communities are coming together to demand a Sanctuary Housing Fund that includes $35 million for mortgage relief, to buy back foreclosed homes for the community, for rental subsidies and for legal defense against evictions. They are also calling on the bank to fix the unaffordable and predatory loans so we can stay in our homes! Join us to take action and demand that the big banks finance a Sanctuary Housing Fund, while fixing predatory loans.
