Recent traffic fatalities and collisions are heavy on our hearts and minds, and our community is still reeling with grief and frustration. While we hold all those emotions, we also remember that these collisions are preventable with slower streets and better infrastructure. They require action and accountability from our City leaders. Tomorrow, there is an opportunity to learn more about what the agency is doing to make our streets safer and voice concerns at the SFMTA Board of Directors meeting. Join us to make your voice heard!
The SFMTA directors will receive the first quarter of 2026 summarizing the work of the agency’s Streets Division. While the staff presentation describes the progress being made, we plan to show up at the meeting to say that work must continue to accelerate, and must benefit people who bike and roll. The quarterly streets update is the last item on the agenda and we expect it to be heard after 3pm.
