We’re seeing many disturbing developments : passengers dragged off commercial planes, racist mobs battling in Berkeley, the US Attorney General halting Justice Department actions against racist police brutality, ICE officials taking children from immigrant women in detention, Muslims and immigrants attacked on the streets. Many of us wonder if we are slipping into fascism or perhaps already there.
Is This Fascism? What is fascism? What brings it on? Are the economics and politics of Europe in the 1930s relevant? Would the US history of genocide and slavery make US fascism something new? How can we get millions to fight fascism? Who are our friends and allies in fighting fascism?
Join a panel of guests to discuss these and related questions among themselves and with the audience
Stephen Zunes: University of SF Professor of Politics and International Studies and
