At the Moscow conference, Jill gave a speech in which she criticized the excessive militarism of both Vladimir Putin and U.S. leaders. The media, however, began blasting out sensationalist headlines in late 2018, when the Senate Intelligence Committee announced it would investigate Jill’s trip, then quietly burying the story when the investigation found no wrongdoing whatsoever.
