Dangerous news coming out of Indian Country (AZ and NM) today:
Navajos are being detained by ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) asking them to produce proof of citizenship. They are being threatened with deportation. CIBs (certificate of degree of Indian blood) are being asked to be held by all Navajo persons, as well as a real ID or passport.
A Mescalero Apache man was detained in Ruidoso last night by ICE demanding he produce proof of citizenship. The officers kept telling he faced deportation if he didn’t produce proof of citizenship.

Heard from a friend that the border patrol is stopping cars outside the rez (reservation) and stopping brown people.
Indigenous people are being warn to carry their certificate of degree of Indian blood and other ID.
Am wondering if they are also stopping Ukrainians that are in this country?? I know I’m sounding racist.
