Idle No More SF Bay June 11:

Second-to-Last Refinery Healing Walk!
Benicia to Rodeo! Please join!

hey friends- I want put a reminder out about the second to last Refinery Healing Walk, organized by our friends at Idle No More SF Bay, this Sunday (June 11).

You can see the details on this Facebook event or on their website here.

Idle No More SF Bay has done amazing work in organizing the healing walks for the past four years and a big turn out for the last two would be a great way to honor their work.

So please join the Refinery Healing Walk on Sunday morning.

Details:

Idle No More SF Bay, a group of Native Americans and our allies, has been organizing the Refinery Healing Walks to bring awareness to the five oil refineries along the Northeast San Francisco Bay since 2014.

* NO ALCOHOL, NO DRUGS, INCLUDING MARIJUANA and NO DOGS *

We walk in prayer, contemplation and conversation from one fossil fuel impacted community to another. The walk on Sunday, June 11th is the 15th of 16 walks over four years. This is the final year of a four year commitment. We will walk from Benicia (Valero refinery) to Rodeo (Conoco Phillips 66 refinery).

We begin the day with prayers for the water at 8

am. Everyone is invited to bring water from their watershed to join the water taken from the Delta. The water is carried with us along the walk and rejoined with the waters in the Bay.

Please consider leaving one car at the end of the walk and one at the beginning if you are coming with friends. Walkers are also encouraged to carpool: https://www.groupcarpool.com/t/5do2ca

Registration for the walk will begin at 8:00 a.m.
Walkers will be asked to agree to the Nonviolent Principles.
