First they came for the homeless
The shelter is closing this weekend. The city has no new location yet. 90+ people will be displaced. They may be on the streets until November. We need to prepare. We know there are some seriously disabled people. These people are not geared up for the streets. We need your help.
We need at least a half dozen tents, sleeping bags, tarps, pads, and in two cases, cots. One person is in a wheelchair, and one tent will be for a couple. Embark 4 person tents last. Those work for all but the couple, and the guy in a wheelchair. Those two tents should be five person tents.
We have until Saturday. Gear can be dropped off at the Here There camp. Ask for Stacy, Casey, Robin, or Moondog. We do not have a place for cash donations. A gofundme is being discussed, but will take too long to help. We have 48 hours.
Please share. Thank you.
