The collapse of the Silicon Valley Bank was an inside job. Rightwing billionaire Peter Thiel and other insiders pulled over $42 billion from the bank one day before it was taken over by the FDIC.
The same insiders have been pushing for deregulation of regional banks and they were the first to grab their billions from the bank leaving the FDIC holding the bag.
Becker himself and his fellow cronies in the bank in fact sold $84 million in stock while he was on the San Francisco Federal Reserve as a board member. So much for oversight when you have crooked bankers in charge of the banks. Bank runs are exactly what you get.
Former SVB President and CEO Greg Becker sold over $3.5 million of his company stock holdings on Feb. 27 and $30 million of stock over the past two years as well as other SVB execs who sold $84 million.
Governor Gavin Newsom was also illegally lobbying the Biden administration to save all the depositors even though it is illegal for a government official to lobby the Federal government when they have stock or funds in a company they would benefit from. Newsom has wineries that had funds in the SVB.
Like the 2008 banking crisis, these bankers and billionaires like Thiell will get away with insider trading because he like the rest of the billionaires run both the Democrats and Republican parties.
Speakers will discuss why we need systemic change in our economic structure to benefit working people and the poor and a party for working people.
The threat of a complete financial collapse is growing and working people need a system that will protect our society.

All Out To Support Namibian Rossing Miners On March 28, 2023 On 3rd Anniversary of Their Dismissals & Attack On Namibian Labor Lawyer Hewat Beukes
A two year labour dispute between the Mineworkers Union of Namibia (MUN) and China National Nuclear Corporation Rössing Uranium Limited (CNNC RUL) is setting the stage for future battles in Africa against union busting by Chinese state owned entities.
The mine is one of the largest open pit uranium mines in the world and began operating in 1976.
The dispute began in August 2020 after China’s state owned China National Nuclear Corporation bought a 68.62% stake in the Rössing Uranium mine from Australian mining giant Rio Tinto Zinc in July 2019.
The Rössing Uranium mine is one of the largest uranium mines in the world, and one where the MUN spent decades struggling successfully for excellent collective agreements and policies for its 780 members.
The former Rössing branch chairperson Johannes Hamutenya worked for the mine for 14 years before being fired in August 2020 along with the eight other members of the MUN Rössing branch executive committee at the time: Julius Ashipala, Albertos Alexander Hennes Haraseb, George Martin, Samuel Shindume, Fillemon Ihuhwa, Paulus Shikongo, Hafeni Nalusha and Ruben Snydewel.
The entire mineworkers’ union branch leadership was fired by the CNNC RUL bosses after refusing to allow the Chinese owners to do away with basic health and safety standards in the collective agreement at the mine.
In China, the only legal unions are those affiliated to the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), an organ of the ruling Chinese Communist party. The China Labour Bulletin, a non-profit Hong Kong-based publication which advocates for ACFTU unions to become independent of the ruling party, has noted that any attempt to establish an independent trade union will be seen by the Chinese Communist Party as a political threat

Please join us for a multifaith prayer vigil in support of the hunger strikers inside Mesa Verde (Bakersfield, CA) and Golden State Annex (McFarland, CA) detention facilities.
Over the past month, 84 people who are currently detained at Mesa Verde and Golden State Annex joined a hunger strike to protest the dehumanizing and unjust conditions of immigration detention. The strikers are calling for immediate release and closure of the facilities.
Since the strike began, at least 7 leaders in Mesa Verde and Golden State Annex have been violently removed by ICE officers and GEO staff and transferred to El Paso for forced feeding.
They are calling on the outside community to stand in solidarity with them, and to help elevate their demands to elected and ICE officials.
This is a moment to mobilize and show people who are detained that THEY ARE NOT ALONE!
As a multifaith community we are hosting a week of fasting between April 2-8, 2023. Those who choose to participate are invited to fast for one day of their choosing. Many faith traditions have a practice of fasting as a way to deepen our spiritual focus, our intentions and practice.
