PDAMERICA • Started streaming 76 minutes ago While it feels like all of American society is under siege from Elon Musk’s DOGE and the Trump Administration, there is no doubt which workers are on the front lines, more than any other – it’s the excellent people who have devoted their lives to serving the public as federal employees. This Sunday, we are honored to be joined by Everett Kelley, president of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), the largest Federal employee union representing 800,000 Federal and DC government workers. Now is the moment when all good people of conscience must stand in solidarity with AFGE to defend government workers. In the course of Sunday’s Town Hall, we will learn from President Kelley how PDA members and all of our allies can best support the AFGE, and send a message to Musk and Trump that the people united can never be defeated. Then we’ll be joined by Sheriff Dustin Heuerman from Champaign County, Illinois, who will explain how local law enforcement, ided by state law, endeavors to ensure fair treatment of undocumented immigrants. Also, the Rural-Urban Bridge Initiative’s Anthony Flaccavento, who is the co-author of the Rural New Deal with PDA, will join us for an update on how progressives can defend rural and small-town America from the devastation of the Trump Administration.
