I just attended a mass call from the Federal Unionists Network encouraging everyone to sign up at Take Action to Defend Federal Services and Workers! to get notified of upcoming protests. If workers at a government agency are fired, they will organize a demonstration for the following day; they are also talking about connecting with Congresspeople during the recess. I think this pledge is an important act of resistance.
The zoom included federal workers, many recently fired, union leaders, and some political figures. The message was for solidarity, recognizing that attacks on private sector workers are next, and reinforcing the valuable services public workers provide. It was inspiring.
