CORRECTION! Meet at 9:00 a.m. (or you can come a bit earlier…8:45 or 8:50)
JOIN US FOR A RALLY ON THE COURTHOUSE STEPS 8/23 AT 9:00 A.M.
(9th Circuit’s address: 95 7th St.)
Commit to attending by signing up here.
To the 9th Circuit: We call on you to overturn Judge Ryu’s injunction.
To the City of SF: We oppose Judge Ryu’s injunction and demand that our City fulfill its mandate to provide enough shelter and residential treatment, including stepped-down treatment, for those suffering from substance use disorders and mental illness on our streets.
We are distraught and frustrated by the skyrocketing drug deaths, serious health issues and the number of OD reversals among the unhoused. Too many of our streets have turned into living morgues. Our City has failed to provide the needed residential treatment and step-down therapeutic community-based housing that promotes sustained long-term recovery.People across the city are very upset with the injunction and the city’s inability and seeming unwillingness to truly meet the needs of the unhoused living on our streets. The conversation in the city is beginning to change. A large turnout on 8/23 is crucial for the city to notice us and to act.
If you can join us on 8/23, wear blue and try to get there around 8:45 or 8:50
I hope to see you on Wednesday, August 23rd! If you can’t make it, and want to get involved, please sign up anyway so we can keep you informed.
