Greta Berlin is a co-founder of the Free Gaza movement and a veteran organizer / participant in the

effort to break Israel’s blockade of the tiny Gaza Strip. She is coming to Rossmoor to speak about how

On August 23, 2008, Greta was on the first boat to land in Gaza in 41 years. She was in charge of the

land crew on six other voyages to Gaza, four of them successfully landing in Gaza’s port.

In 2010, she was the U.S. spokesperson when Israel killed 10 and wounded 70 passengers on the Mavi

And the voyages have continued under the Global Sumud Flotilla which sent two voyages totaling 100

boats carrying nearly 1,000 participants in 2025 and 2026, challenging Israel’s blockade of Gaza.
