Inside the Iranian Uprising, a FRONTLINE documentary by Majed Neisi, tells the story Iran has tried to hide from the world and gives an unflinching look at the aftermath of a protest following the death of Masha Zhina Amin in police custody – she was accused of not adhering to a strict Islamic dress code.
Through a collection of gripping images taken by phones of young Iranians and posted online, rigorously verified by FRONTLINE staff Inside the Iranian Uprising gives an unyielding look at the protest and the abuses Iranians receive by the regime’s security forces. This documentary is best described as an extraordinary and shocking insight into what is happening across Iran and shows the extreme cruelty the regime issues to control its citizens.
Following the screening we have Dolly Veale, Co-Founder of International Emergency Campaign (IEC), a grass roots organization dedicated to free Iran’s political prisoners. She is also a contributing wwriter to revcom.us.
After the screening there will be a Q&A discussion.
