Booksmith Resists: Postcard Party

Monday, March 13, 2017 – 7:00pm

THE IDES OF TRUMP: Presenting the first event in a new Booksmith Resists series

#TheIdesofTrump is a campaign to encourage one million people to send postcards to Donald Trump on March 15:

Each of us — every protester from every march, each Congress calling citizen, every boycotter, volunteer, donor, and petition signer — will write a single postcard and put them all in the mail on the same day, March 15th, 2017.

So sharpen your wit, unsheathe your writing implements, and write from the heart. All of our issues — DAPL, women’s rights, racial discrimination, religious freedom, immigration, economic security, education, the environment, conflicts of interest, the existence of facts — can and should find common cause. That cause is to make it irrefutable that the president’s claim of wide support is a farce.

On Monday, March 13 at 7PM, we’re throwing a postcard party with all the supplies you’ll need (except stamps). We’ll have postcards and pens courtesy ofChronicle Books and Papa Llama Press, including Papa Llama’s new line of protest postcards. There will also be blanks if you prefer to make your own. We’ll also have snacks, coffee courtesy of Ritual Roasters, and beer courtesy of Lagunitas Brewing Company, in case you need fuel for the resistance.

RSVP kindly encouraged so we know how much stuff to get.
