With a new Congress coming in, we now have a chance to stop the Trump administration’s march toward yet another disastrous war in the Middle East. There is an exciting new effort by progressive policy groups to push the US to re-enter the Iran nuclear deal that Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from. We need to come together to strategize and organize.
We will be meeting from 9am-5pm at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 945 G St NW, Washington, DC. It will be followed by a cultural event from 6pm-8pm at Busboys and Poets, 2021 14th St NW.

To reflect the beauty of Iran, we have also included cultural activities such as an art exhibit, poetry, calligraphy, music, photo booth and other cultural activities. I’ll also be signing copies of my latest book Inside Iran: The Real History and Politics of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Wars are really hard to stop once they start, as we can see from the US 17-year-old military involvement in Afghanistan. The best thing we can do is stop war before it happens, and this is what we must do in the case of Iran.
