Please join with Interfaith Movement For Human Integrity, Friends of Crystal City and pilgrims who just returned from the Crystal City Pilgrimage to Texas, and immigrant rights groups in the SF Bay Area
During Holy Week and Passover, join us for a spiritual pilgrimage through the “Stations of the Crisis” faced by our migrant communities! We will hear a reflection about the humanitarian crises, participate in a ceremonial foot/hand washing, and deliver letters to Senator Harris’ and Senator Feinstein’s offices.
Join us to request our Senators, as civil servants, to serve immigrant communities, provide oversight and accountability on the actions of the federal government, and provide vocal leadership:
** End U.S. arms sales and military assistance to Honduras!
** End barriers to asylum seekers at the border!
** End detention of immigrants, families, and children!
** End ICE’s contracts with private prisons!
** End deportations and family separation!
Bring signs (optional) in opposition to the detention and deportation of asylum seekers and immigrants.

Justice for Jerome!

April 19, 2019 marks one year since the detainment and torture of Jerome Aba, a Moro youth peace advocate from Mindanao, Philippines, at San Francisco International Airport.
Jerome Aba was invited to the U.S. by human rights organizations, church leaders, and Congressional leaders to discuss the current conditions and everyday experiences of Moro-Muslim peoples under President Duterte’s Martial Law in Mindanao. Upon arrival in SFO, he was immediately detained, psychologically tortured by personnel of Customs & Border Protection for over 28 hours, and was deported back to the Philippines.

Speaking Out Against CBP and Border Patrols Fascist Tactics
We’ve also learned that the CBP has ramped up their efforts to harass and intimidate those coming through SFO. A plane full of Chinese families were detained, another 2 instances of Filipino families, and countless Muslims visiting the US. We’re holding this to speak out against the fascist tactics of the CBP, the inhumane treatment at the border, and to hold the Philippine government and Consulate accountable for colluding with the Trump administration in the torture of Jerome Aba, a human rights defender.
As we continue to fight for Justice for Jerome, BAYAN-Northern California and MIGRANTE Northern California invite you all to an indignation rally, calling for and end to torture at SFO, accountability from Customs & Border Protection and Department of Homeland Security, and for an end to militarization – land, sea, or air!

On April 21st Black & Brown United for Justice, Peace, and Equaity will be commemorating the 3rd Anniversary of the#Frisco5 Hunger Strike. This is the time we remember the innocent lives taken by SFPD that led to the Hunger Strike, and the abundance of people power that influenced the resignation of then Police Chief Greg Suhr.
The community will be holding space at the location at George Gascon’s house.
Our demand is for DA George Gascon to charge killer cops with murder, or resign.
