- Community Ready Corps is a Black grassroots organization that works to build community safety and resilience, and they have strategies in place for addressing COVID-19.
- Disability Justice Culture Club has developed the East Bay Disabled Folks COVID19 Support Request Form.
- Oakland at Risk is a local organization that delivers free groceries to low-income seniors.
- California Immigrant Youth Justice Alliance (CIYJA) put together COVID-19 resources for undocumented people.
- If you otherwise need support or can provide it, check out the SF Bay Area Mutual Aid Form.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in public or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- Cover your mouth with your elbow when coughing and sneezing.
- Avoid close contact with others who are sick.
- Adhere to your state and local guidelines for movement about your community.
- Clean and disinfect commonly used surfaces using EPA-registered household disinfectants like Clorox or Lysol.
Most importantly, please consult your health care provider if you feel sick.

Six years ago today,
On March 21, 2014, Alejandro “Alex” Nieto, 28 years old, was killed when he was struck by 14 to 15 bullets (of a total of 59 shots) fired by four San Francisco Police Department officers, on Bernal Hill Park, without justification. The officers who killed Alex Nieto are: Sgt. Jason Sawyer (then lieutenant. He is also the killer of John Smart in 1998!), Officer Roger Morse, Officer Richard Schiff, and Officer Nathan Chew.
Please hold Refugio and Elvira Nieto and their family and friends in your thoughts today. If you feel moved, light a candle in remembrance of Alex.
