ACTION NEEDED: California is one earthquake away from exposing hundreds of thousands of people to NUCLEAR RADIATION. The Diablo Canyon nuclear plant sits near 3 fault lines that could generate quakes stronger than the reactor is built to withstand. But a new bill in the California legislature would extend its life.

Radiation victims could climb into the MILLIONS if southerly winds prevail and send the radioactive plume south, from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles. Californians cannot afford this risk.

But we can block this bill to overturn that progress if environmentalists like YOU speak up.

ShotSpotter has formed an exclusive partnership with Israel’s Airobotics Drones. ShotSpotter’s audio surveillance will allow Israel to listen in on neighborhoods 24/7 and send out drones to enforce its military control.

U.S. police use ShotSpotter to surveil majority Black, brown, and poor neighborhoods. ShotSpotter alerts send police in a heightened state of alarm into communities — leading to devastating results

People have been arrested, falsely imprisoned, and in the case of 14-year-old Adam Toledo, killed by Chicago police after a ShotSpotter alert.³

Even with no credible research to back up ShotSpotter’s claims that it prevents gun violence, ShotSpotter is in over 130 U.S. cities.

A world in which a 10-year-old rape victim in Ohio had to travel to another state to get an abortion, where a court in Florida ruled that a 16-year-old was “not mature enough” to get an abortion and forced by the state to carry a pregnancy to term, where a mother in Nebraska faces felony charges for allegedly helping her teenage daughter abort a pregnancy – and that’s just the beginning.

Who are “Pro-Life” SF?
“Pro-Life” SF and PAAU (“Progressive” Anti-Abortion Uprising)
are part of the Christian fascist anti-abortion movement whose members have invaded abortion clinics, harassed patients, stalked and terrorized doctors, stole fetal remains, and utilized various dirty tactics. They disguise themselves as “progressive,” calling themselves feminist, leftist, atheist, vegan, queer, anarchist, etc. to disorient people and garner support. But their goal is no different from open fascists: reducing women and people who can get pregnant to baby-making machines, putting fetuses before women’s lives. They are coming to Berkeley to legitimize anti-women fascist politics under a “progressive” mantle, and it must be REJECTED and OPPOSED!

They are supported and promoted by women-hating and anti-LBGTQ+ politicians and leaders of the anti-abortion movement like Texas senator Ted Cruz and Randall Terry — a Christian fascist who believes that it is “human nature” for women to follow men and who has openly advocated for murder of abortion doctors.20

**There are two Wood Street temporary restraining order (TRO) hearings so make sure you stay for Blain et al v. Caltrans et al, this is the hearing that represents the majority of Wood street residents

SUPPORT WOOD STREET RESIDENTS!

What: Wood St. residents have filed and won a temporary restraining order (TRO) halting the planned multi-agency eviction of over 300 unhoused residents (Blain et al v.Caltrans et al).

While there are currently two ongoing legal cases for Wood St. this TRO was filed by on behalf of a majority of residents and protects everyone from eviction

for the time being.

The POA defends police officers that have executed and terrorized people in our communities.

SFPD officers need to held accountable when they commit crimes to people in our communities!

If you can’t attend, please contact SF Mayor London Breed and the SF Board of Supervisors. Tell them you OPPOSE their funding for SFPD.

On July 21, SF BoS approved a two-year, $14 budget that includes the hiring of 220 police officers to fill vacancies within the San Francisco Police Department – This was Mayor Breed’s proposal.

Only one supervisor voted against this – Supervisor Dean Preston.

There were no conditions placed on SFPD for accountability for these funds!

For people in Oakland

APTP’s MH First (MH1) is Oakland’s first and only non 9-1-1 crisis response line for mental health, substance use and domestic violence and is available from 8 pm to 8 am, Fridays & Saturdays, covering the hours when traditional mental health hotlines are closed. Our MH First program is an assembly of doctors, nurses, systems-impacted people, and community members working together to build alternatives to police.

The only way to decrease police terror is to decrease police presence in our communities. A mental health crisis should not be a death sentence.

We deserve community crisis response that doesn’t harm us and instead honors our lives.
