PDA Sunday Progressive Town Hall, March 3, 2024, with Angelica Duenas and Ahmed Mostafa

PDAMERICA • Started streaming 52 minutes ago 2024 wasn’t supposed to be a good year for progressives at the voting booth. Yet, only a few weeks into a ten-month-long marathon of elections, progressives are ascendant following the spectacular result of over 100,000 MIchiganders voting “Uncommitted” to demand President Biden support an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. So, it’s PDA’s duty to keep that momentum rolling, and this week’s Town Hall is all about making that happen. We’ll be joined by two PDA-endorsed candidates for open seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, just two days before their primary election. Angelica Duenas will give us an update on her race in the San Fernando Valley, and remind us why her unwavering drive not just to advocate for progressive policies, but to demand they be put into practice, serves the hard-working people of CA-29. Ahmed Mostafa joins us from another valley in California, the one that rules our world more than any other region on planet Earth, Silicon Valley, to give us the low-down on his race in CA-16. Everyone will benefit from having a progressive—who is a compassionate advocate for some of the most vulnerable people in society, and who understands the power of unregulated digital technology to distort our souls and all of society—like Ahmed in Congress so he can keep Big Tech in check. We’ll also get updates on Barbara Lee’s campaign for the U.S. Senate in California, and from one of last week’s guests, David Mandel, who is running to unseat moderate (i.e,. conservative) Democrat Doris Matsui in CA-7. And we’ll hear from Mike Fox about how we can help all of these great candidates GOTV in the final feet of the homestretch. Then, we’ll close the Town Hall with updates on all the states where the Vote Ceasefire/Uncommitted campaigns continue this week and beyond! See you on Sunday. RSVP now! There just may be a surprise cameo or two to lift our spirits!
