2 PETITIONS

1. URGENT: Save Lives, Demand Immediate an End to the Killing

SIGN: US has Allowed Israel to Destroy the Region (adc.org)

Demand that the US take immediate steps to end Israeli terror and aggression.

Moments after Netyanyahu stood at the United Nations yesterday, in front of an empty room, and claimed that Israel “yearns for peace,” he carried out the unlawful assassination of Sayed Hassan Nassrallah, and the massacre of hundreds of people in Beirut yesterday.

It is clear what the US government must do to stop the ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, the indiscriminate bombing and killing in Lebanon, and prevent a devastating regional war – immediately stop all weapons transfers and sales to Israel, demand an end to the genocide, and force the dismantlement of the Israeli occupation of Palestine, Lebanon, and the Golan Heights.

EVENTS / ACTIONS

Sunday, September 29 – Sunday, October 6

Sunday, September 29

1. Sunday, 2:00pm, BAY AREA: EMERGENCY PROTEST

SF Federal Building
90 – 7th St.
SF

Israel is carrying out deadly attacks on Lebanon, carpet bombing Beirut with 2,000 pound bombs and assassinating leaders with impunity. The U.S. is spending billions to arm Israel as Israel provokes a regional war and authorizes war crimes from New York City. We won’t stand by while Biden and Harris continue to fund and expand this genocide. We will take to the streets and say NO to US-support for genocide in Gaza and Lebanon.

ALL OUT! FREE PALESTINE!

2. Monday, UPDATE: 9/30 PACK THE COURT POSTPONED for GG26

Court date was originally set for Monday, September 30

CALL DA JENKINS ( You don’t have to leave your last name)

DEMAND DA JENKINS DROP ALL THE CHARGES AGAINST THE GOLDEN GATE 26
     628-652-4000

The Golden Gate 26 are demanding their right to a speedy trial but the DA has filed a continuance postponing the felony hearing. New date TBA.

OTHER LEGAL UPDATES: The legal team has been making moves. Rachel Lederman, along with other lawyers representing the Golden Gate 26, have filed a motion in San Francisco’s superior court, demanding that the court disqualify District Attorney Brooke Jenkins and her entire office, based on indications of her bias against Palestinian people, their advocates and supporters. They also filed a an additional motion to dismiss the charges, citing international findings that Israel is engaged in genocide in Gaza.

We will keep you updated and announce the next opportunity to pack the court in support of the Golden Gate 26. See yall next time!

As we approach the one year of genocide, we remain disgusted by the decisions of the DA’s office. And yet, we also remain steadfast. Onward to a free Palestine.

3. Tuesday, 12Noon, OPPOSE SFMTA’S ATTEMPT TO TOW FAMILY HOMES

Steps of SF City Hall
1 Dr. Carleton B. Goodlett Pl
SF

1:00pm – give public comment to the SFMTA Board, Room 400

Join us on Tuesday, October 1st at 12:00 p.m. on the front steps of City Hall to demand the SFMTA Board of Directors to oppose Mayor Breed’s proposal banning oversized vehicles!

We are also asking you to take this step

To email the SFMTA Board urging them to VOTE NO on this proposal, you can use this customizable email template.

As the SFMTA Board of Directors prepare to pass the ban on oversized vehicles overnight, proposed by Mayor Breed, we need your help to oppose this callous and cruel attempt to further criminalize working families who have no other choice but to live their RVs.

With 90% of unsheltered families living in vehicles and the family shelter waitlist being 530 families-long, it is unconscionable to dispossess families of their homes, force them into temporary shelter, and to keep the hundreds of families waiting for shelter on the street longer.

We need real solutions, like safe parking sites and the expansion of permanent supportive housing— not mass criminalization of the working poor for political gain.

Join us on October 1st and tell the SFMTA Board to VOTE NO on banning RVs across the city!

5. Sunday, 1:00pm, ALL OUT FOR PALESTINE AND LEBANON: ONE YEAR OF GENOCIDE, ONE YEAR OF RESISTANCE

16th & Valencia
SF

As we approach the one year mark of Israel’s genocide on Gaza, we join the national day of action for Palestine to salute our people’s steadfastness and resistance. We will take to the streets on October 6th to mark this brutal year where our people stood tall against Zionism and the Israeli war machine, as they have for nearly 100 years.

In the span of one year, the Gaza Health Ministry has released the names of over 40,000 martyrs, with updated projections estimating over 189,000 martyrs. Amidst this genocide, our people in Gaza, across Palestine, and across the world remain steadfast in our resistance.

The genocidal Zionist project has passed a point of failure beyond which there is no return, due in no small part to our movement. The Bay Area has fought hard for Palestinian liberation. Our communities have built a broad intersectional movement of anti-racists, abolitionists, students, and labor unions to stand up against war, militarism, oppression, and exploitation here and in our homelands.

The tide has turned: Zionism and Israel’s system of apartheid and colonialism have been exposed for the whole world as unjust and untenable. Millions of workers, students, families, and people of conscience around the globe have joined the movement for Palestinian liberation in the last year.

The Bay Area will honor our martyrs in Palestine, we will demand an end to the US’ complicity in Israel’s crimes against Palestine and the world, and demand an arms embargo on Israel. Palestine will be free, and we will continue to march, organize, and fight.
