CALL, CALL, CALL

Call your senators every day through Wednesday

Tell them to support all of the Six Joint Resolutions to Block $20Billion more weapons to Israel

Senator Butler:

202-224-3841 (DC)

415-393–0707 (SF)

Senator Padilla:

 202-224-3553 (DC)

415-981- 9369 (SF)

Congressional Switchboard:

202-224-3121

Suggested script from Peace Action:

Hello, my name is ______________ and I am a constituent of the Senator. I am calling to ask the Senator to co-sponsor and vote in support of Senator Bernie Sanders’ six Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to block additional weapons packages to the Israeli government. These weapons are a violation of U.S. and international law. Additionally, providing $20 billion in more arms and warplanes only enables Israeli PM Netanyahu’s genocidal war against the Palestinians, and could lead to the war escalating throughout the entire region. The best and only way to stop this is to stop sending Israel more and more weapons. I urge the Senator to co-sponsor and vote in support of the six Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to enable a ceasefire, save innocent lives, and bring an end to this war.

Email Congress: Block $20 billion in weapons to Israel!

Email Congress: Block $20 billion in weapons to Israel!

Petition from US Campaign For Palestinian Rights:

URGENT: We have a narrow window to block $20 billion in weapons to Israel.

This is the worst stage of the genocide yet. Israel is starving and slaughtering Palestinians en masse in northern Gaza, and burning alive Palestinians like 19-year-old Sha’ban al-Dalou at Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. All with U.S. weapons and military funding.

The U.S. Senate will hold the first vote in history to directly block weapons to Israel. Senators Bernie Sanders, Peter Welch, and Jeff Merkley have introduced six Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to halt a $20 billion weapons deal approved by the Biden administration.

Each member of Congress will be forced to go on record with where they stand, with votes expected in mid-November. These resolutions require both chambers of Congress to pass and be signed by the president.

The U.S. must stop arming Israel now. Our tax dollars should fund care, not killing. Email your members of Congress now to demand they:

  • Cosponsor and vote YES on all six Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to block the $20 billion weapons deal to Israel
  • Support an IMMEDIATE arms embargo to halt all U.S. weapons to Israel and enforce U.S. law
  • Cosponsor and vote YES on H.R. 9649 to restore funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for life-saving aid

After over a year of US funded genocide in Palestine, and mass protests across the country, our government is STILL ignoring the will of the majority of Americans who say no to tax $$ and weapons to the Israeli Apartheid State:  Congress is preparing to send $20 billion MORE in military aid to support the horrific slaughter in Gaza!

-We say: Please join THE PEOPLE’S ARMS EMBARGO.  If the US won’t instate an arms embargo, we will!

-Will you join our new broad coalition to bring monthly nonviolent resistance to Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA, from where US weapons are sent to Israel…Support our campaign until the US stops funding Israeli genocide in Palestine.
