While KPFA is on an uphill road to reach our financial goal of $275,000 during this Summer Fund Drive, we are overwhelmed by the support for our monthly sustainer push – we hope to increase ongoing memberships by 50% (or 250 new monthly members) during our Summer Drive and as of this moment, we are at 210! And by the way, yesterday was the most successful dollar day yet, with close to $27,000 raised.

Please join KPFA Radio at The Backroom in Berkeley on Tuesday, August 9th at 7:00pm when we welcome UC Berkeley professor Catherine Choy to celebrate the release of her most recent book, Asian American Histories of the United States, an inclusive and landmark history, emphasizing how essential Asian American experiences are to any understanding of US history. This live, in-person event will be hosted by KPFA’s Miko Lee.
