CARB Scoping Plan listening session 

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is working on a “Scoping Plan” to set the state on a path to achieving its climate goals. Many of you joined Sierra Club California and our allies last month in calling on CARB to make the Scoping Plan more just and ambitious. Now, you have an opportunity to attend a listening session to make sure your voice is heard!

The Scoping Plan, set to be adopted by the end of the year, is supposed to chart California’s course to achieve our ambitious climate goals. The Draft Plan is far too weak and Sierra Club California joined over 100 groups in a letter asking that the Final Plan be strengthened significantly.

Our demand for greater climate action and more aggressive emission reductions led to board members asking to hear more from the public. CARB has scheduled three in-person listening sessions throughout the state, and one virtual listening session. We need you to show up to ensure that the environment has a voice.Take the following steps to make your voice heard:
