Nurses and patients alike know it: our current health care system is broken and failing to meet the needs of Californians. That’s why the California Nurses Association is dedicated to passing guaranteed, single-payer health care for every Californian through CalCare.

This year, we have a spot bill in the legislature (AB 1690) while we focus on building the movement. But early next year, we plan to reintroduce full CalCare legislation and move it through the legislative process — which means we only have a few months left to prepare. Nurses never give up on their patients, and we won’t give up on creating a just health care system for the people of our state.

In two weeks, we’re hosting a CalCare Statewide Organizing Call to lay out our organizing plan for the remainder of the year and how you can take action.
