  In November, 2018, four young women ran, for the first time, for election to the U.S. House of Representatives. They represented different social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and came from different parts of the country.  But they were united by a common goal: To challenge the status quo.
  

  This movie won the 2019 Sundance Film Festival Favorite Award. It tells the story of how four courageous progressives are fighting for equality and justice in a society that seems stacked in favor of the privileged few against the vast majority of working people.  It’s our fight, too.

  After the screening, Tom Gallagher will address one of the most important themes of the movie: “Congressional insurgency: a ripple or a wave?”  A widely published writer on social and political issues, Tom has served as president of the Bernal Heights Democratic Club and Progressive Democrats of America – San Francisco Chapter, as a Bernie Sanders Delegate to the National Democratic Convention, and as a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. His talk will be followed by audience discussion.
