SFHC and Moksha Woodwork Designs in the news!

Our “Transitional Sleep & Storage Shelters” made the news. Keep in mind that SFHC doesn’t want people living in unsanctioned encampments in neighborhoods either, but we know that everyone deserves access to safe sleep and storage, toilets, and pathways to transition. We hope to work with City Hall and the Department of Homelessness to increase safe and organized shelter exits for encampment residents during the City’s shelter shortage and encampment crisis.

Come to our Fundraiser for Saint Francis Homelessness Challenge hosted by the Mission Creek Merchants Association to see our transitional RV shelter in person and support our efforts!

MCMA Showcase + Fundraiser for Saint Francis Homelessness Challenge!

The evening will showcase SFHC’s Transitional Sleep & Storage RV Shelter.

There will be a presentation by SFHC founder/director Amy Farah Weiss at 6:30.

You will meet encampment residents organizing with SFHC
and learn how you can support SFHC proposals for addressing current conditions at encampments, supporting transition, and increasing interim shelter opportunities.

San Francisco is experiencing a shelter shortage crisis with over 100 encampments on our streets. We need humane, cost-effective, and outcomes-driven strategies NOW!

SFHC organizes with encampment residents and community stakeholders to address encampment conditions, pilot interim sleep & storage shelters, and support transition from the streets.

We are aiming to raise enough to build at least 4 units of the temporary housing pods. Each pod costs $750.
