I am very excited to invite you to a special virtual fundraising reception with special guests Phillip Agnew and Gary Chambers. I hope you will join us for a very special conversation regarding marijuana justice and equity.
Phillip Agnew leads Black Men Build, a place for Black men to engage this country as an organized force. Agnew is also known for his national advocacy as co-founder of the Dream Defenders, the Florida-based organization that was created following the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin. The advocacy group is organizing Black and Brown youth to build power in our communities to advance a new vision within Florida.
Chambers is a nationally recognized cannabis decriminalization advocate and candidate for U.S. Senate in Louisiana.
In 2022 the needs are greater than ever, which is why I am running for Congress. And with the changes in district boundaries (ALL of Cleveland where I won by 10 points will be in the district), less concentrated dark money in a regular election cycle, and strategic shifts in our campaign — I am confident we can bring home a win for the working families of Greater Cleveland.
I am so very grateful to have the support of people just like you, Phillip Agnew and Gary Chambers. People of action and courage who are ready for a Congress focused on lifting the working families of this country.
Thank you in advance for joining us on Friday. I look forward to seeing you there.
