A gathering of Sanctuary congregations and other Immigrant Justice Congregations and People of Faith.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow at our meeting of the SF Interfaith Coalition on Immigration – a gathering of Sanctuary congregations and other Immigrant Justice congregations and people of faith.
Wed 4/26 from 630-8 PM

Ignatian Spiritual Life Center – St. Agnes (1611 Oak Street, San Francisco)

Here is a quick peak at the Agenda:

Guest Speaker – will give Testimony:   We have invited Danny – one of the folks who just went through our Speaker training for Sanctuary Dialogues who will be sharing his powerful story of migration and current challenges and threats. Danny is part of the the Asian Prison Support Committee and a fellow at the  Asian Law Caucus. This is an important opportunity to see what inviting a speaker to your congregation could look like.
Sanctuary Dialogues-  Immigrant Stories in the Pulpit, Bimah, Minbar:   Update on our speakers training.  The need for Liaisons.  And Outreach List for upcoming Congregational Visits.
Update from  Free SF Coalition (of which we are a part) to share about the larger work on immigrant rights in San Francisco.
Opportunities for Accompaniment & Support of Newly Arrive Immigrant Youth in SF.
What are other ways we can strengthen Networks of Protection?  What can we be doing proactively?
Please let me know if you have any other Agenda Items and Announcements to add.
See you all soon,
Rev Deborah Lee & Sarah Lee
