Mayor London Breed recently proposed a $27.6 million budget supplemental for SFPD to fund police overtime. Meanwhile, DA Jenkins recently dropped the charges against Chris Samayoa who murdered Keita O’Neil, and has stood by while the hearings for Kenneth Cha, who murdered Sean Moore, gets delayed again and again. If SFPD officers aren’t being held accountable when they break the law, they should not continue to get budget supplementals.
Demand that the BoS needs to be accountable to the public and demand more answers from SFPD.
Ask that they VOTE NO and end complicity with SFPD , POA and current DA’s reign of terror on people in our communities – especially of Black and Brown people.
Not one SFPD police officer who has killed people in SF have been held accountable.
Police abuse in the past and present needs to be answered to

3. Wednesday, 4:00pm – 5:30pm, From the Bay Area to Atlanta STOP COP CITY!
In person – meet at:
GI PARTNERS
4 Embarcadero Center (North side of building on Clay St.)
SF
These past few weeks, thousands have gathered from across the country to join the community defending Atlanta and its Weelaunee forest from the construction of “Cop City” – a massive 85-acre, $90 million urban warfare police training facility. Protests came to a head after a Georgia State Trooper shot and killed forest defender Manuel (Tortuguita) Terán on January 18th. This fight lies at the intersections of numerous issues: police expansion and violence, dirty corporate money, racial injustice, and of course, environmental destruction.
The Stop Cop City movement is bringing to light chilling rightwing shifts including increased police militarization and increased surveillance and criminalization of environmental activists.
Since December, Georgia law enforcement has arrested around 55 people defending Weelaunee forest, 43 of whom have been charged with domestic terrorism. The Atlanta Police Foundation, thanks to unchecked funding from massive corporations like SF-based Wells Fargo, has “donated” military gear and weapons which have been used to brutalize protestors. The violent tactics and treatment police are using against environmental activists reflect the policy shifts restricting the right to protest occurring across the country. Raising the legal stakes of protesting to absurd degrees is intended to dissuade participation in the movement or actions as well as fabricate a negative public image of protest efforts.
San Francisco is home to several of Cop City’s primary funders, financial partners, and general contract managers. We know exactly who is profting from this police playground and it’s time we paid them a visit. Join us for a gathering and tour of Cop City’s backers in the Financial District
Part of this event will be growing the community of people who believe there should be No Cop City there, or anywhere. As activists fighting for environmental and social justice, we must defend our own communities, as well, from infringements of police systems and restrictions on our right to take action.

4. Wednesday, 6:00pm (PT), Webinar: Defunding Environmental Racism in the Gulf South
Online registration: Webinar Registration – Zoom
Despite their hollow climate pledges, big banks and insurers threaten to lock us into polluting LNG terminals for the next generation. Gulf South states like Texas and Louisiana continue to bear the brunt of the fossil fuel industry’s insatiable appetite for profit.
New LNG projects mean more climate chaos for frontline communities already hit hard by climate impacts. Now is the time to take collective action and defund environmental racism
We invite you to hear directly from Black and Indigenous leaders of the Gulf frontlines about their experiences of environmental racism and take digital action in solidarity with them.
Black and Indigenous people in the Gulf South have historically and continue to bear the brunt of the fossil fuel industry’s insatiable appetite for profits. As Stop the Money Pipeline continues our years-long fight on Wall Street to end the flow of financing to the fossil fuel industry, we invite you to hear directly from leaders of the Gulf frontlines about their experiences of environmental racism and take digital action in solidarity with them.
hear from John Beard of Port Arthur Community Action Network (Texas), Roishetta Ozane of the Vessel Project (Louisiana), Michael Esealuka of Healthy Gulf (Louisiana), RISE St. James, and Juan Mancias of Carrizo Comecrudo Tribe (Texas) on their ongoing fight for clean air, water, and land.

7. Saturday, 12Noon – 2:30pm, Peace in Ukraine! Fund people’s needs, not the war machine!
In person meet at:
24th & Mission BART
SF
Coinciding with the 20th anniversary weekend of the criminal U.S.-invasion of Iraq, the ANSWER Coalition and dozens of other organizations will gather on Saturday March 18 at the 24th & Mission BART, SF for a rally demanding “Peace in Ukraine – Say NO to Endless U.S. Wars” and “Fund People’s Needs, Not the War Machine.”
Since 2003, the U.S. has engaged in sanctions (economic war) on more than 40 countries. Even in the wake of the worst disasters, like the recent deadly earthquake, Washington keeps its cruel sanctions in place against Syria.
U.S. bases and “commands” blanket most of the world. It is a global empire.
The Biden administration is determined to escalate the Ukraine war. The real goal of the massive arming and training of Ukrainian forces has nothing to do with the interests of Ukrainian, Russian or American people. The aim instead is to “weaken Russia” as stated by the U.S. Secretary of Defense himself, even at the risk of a catastrophic nuclear war that could end life on Earth.
A U.S. General commanding 50,000 troops in the Pacific also issued a letter to his sub-commanders in recent days informing them that he believes that the United States will be at war with China within two years. The danger of global war is growing! The people must act!
Our demands:
Peace in Ukraine – Negotiations not escalation!
Abolish NATO – End U.S. militarism and sanctions
Fund peoples needs, not the war machine
No war with China
End U.S. aid to racist aparthaid Israel
Fight racism and bigotry at home
U.S. hands off Haiti
End AFRICOM
