2. Monday, 10:00am – 11:00am, Saving Life on Earth: How to Talk About Population in a World of 8 Billion w/ CBD
Online
RSVP: https://act.biologicaldiversity.org/De4yLu4SxUidTeDU3l6XtQ2
As we approach a global population of 8 billion, we need to talk about what that
means for people and the planet in a way that acknowledges intersections of the
environment, reproductive freedom, race and gender.
That’s why the Center for Biological Diversity is hosting a webinar on how to talk about population pressure within the frameworks of anti-racism and reproductive justice.
We’ll provide background on the sensitivities around population conversations, context
about reproductive injustices in the United States, and ways environmentalists can support
equitable solutions.
The webinar will feature a discussion and Q&A with the following panelists:
–Sarah Baillie, population and sustainability organizer at Center for Biological Diversity
–Lauren Pharr, avian ecologist, science communicator, advocate for Black and historically excluded minorities in STEM, and co-founder of Field Inclusive, an organization supporting Black and historically excluded natural resources professionals.
–Gianna May Sanchez, University of Michigan graduate student and research assistant for the Sterilization and Social Justice Lab studying medical regulation, midwifery and women’s health in 20th-century New Mexico.

In person
SF Civic Center Plaza
In front of City Hall
SF
This is a kid and family friendly event!
Food, Drinks, Music, Art and Collective Action
With COH and the Stolen Belonging project
Join us, houseless residents, housing justice advocates, and ‘housies’ who want to hold the city accountable for the ongoing theft and violence against those who currently have no roof. This creative action/event will feature projections, videos and stories gathered by the Stolen Belonging team, street theatre by Poor Magazine, music, food, and more!
There will be a big Art/Action/Event with Stolen Belonging project, Coalition on Homelessness (COH), Poor Magazine and many others as we collectively demand the city reckon with its theft and violence targeting homeless San Franciscans and reclaim the idea of “community safety” to include those without a roof. Access to housing, services and basic human dignity are key elements of the community safety everyone deserves. Details:
We’ll be giving away survival gear to folks forced to sleep on the streets. Our goal is to have at least 40-50 big bags to give out on a first-come-first-served basis, including tents, sleeping bags, flashlights and other necessities.
This is a kid and family friendly event!
For more info on Stolen Belonging, an arts organizing project documenting stories of city theft and abuse against unhoused residents, visit: StolenBelonging.org
We will collectively demand the city STOP THE SWEEPS and reckon with its daily abuses, many of which are detailed in our lawsuit against the City and which will be highlighted in Stolen Belonging projects’ new release City As Abuser. We’ll also be collectively reclaiming “community safety” with those impacted most by the biggest thief and abuser in SF—the City itself. #WeTakeCareOfUs and together we must fight for a City without City violence!

6. Wednesday, 9:00am, Court Hearing for SFPD’s Officer Kenneth Cha for Homicide of Sean Moore
In person

850 Bryant St.
SF
Wheelchair accessible
All are welcomed to support the Moore family.
| Case Number | Case Title | Purpose | Location | Dept | Date | Time |
| CRI-21010958 | CHA, KENNETH | 850 BRYANT ST | 20 | 2022-11-16 | 9:00 AM |
This is the first court hearing to hold accountable SFPD since the election of DA Brooke Jenkins.
Before the recall of DA Chesa Boudin the case was already in the Superior Court system with many hearings in Dept. 9 and in Dept. 20, since January. This case was thoroughly investigated by Boudin’s office before charges were brought on SFPD’s Kenneth Cha. There were stall tactics used by Cha’s attorney (Police Officers Association) before the recall election.
From what I understand the prosecution has been ready for months before the recall of DA Chesa Boudin.

Indigenous solidarity is an essential part of the struggle for racial and environmental justice. It is critical that we deepen our commitment to Indigenous Sovereignty in ourselves and in our movements, take collective action towards land rematriation and support efforts to ensure a just and sustainable existence for all of our future generations.
Tonatierra, American Indian Law Alliance, NDN Collective, Sogorea Te Land Trust, and the Indigenous Solidarity Network
Join us this season to interrogate the colonial legacy of the ‘Thanksgiving’ holiday and hear from frontline Indigenous leaders on how to join efforts to protect land and water. Indigenous-led movements are building power and leading us towards a liberated future in this moment of climate catastrophe and reckoning.
Tonatierra, American Indian Law Alliance, NDN Collective, Sogorea Te Land Trust, and the Indigenous Solidarity Network invite you to hear from Indigenous leaders who will give updates from the frontlines of this fight. Speakers will include Betty Lyons, Tupac Enrique Acosta, Demetrius Johnson, Corrina Gould, and Jake Edwards moderated by Eve Reyes-Aguirre.
From tar sands pipelines across Turtle Island to Arctic oil and gas drilling, Indigenous campaigns of resistance continue to lead the way in protecting future generations against the destruction of sacred lands and waterways.
