The US Biden government with the support of both Democrats and the Republicans is preparing for war against China and has set up Aukus, a trilateral “security” pact between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
As part of this pact, the US now wants to destroy the Australian MUA organized Port of Kembla and build a nuclear submarine base which would threaten the survival of unionized port as a commercial port.
The unions and community have had a development plan for renewable energy projects employing thousands of workers and this Nuke base would destroy this initiative.
On May 6, 2023 there will be a rally at the Port Kembla organized by the trades council with the support of the MUA and community . There will be a workers community march to the NSW city of Port Kembla to oppose its use as a base for a future submarine fleet.
“The battle for Port Kembla has begun,” said Arthur Rorris, the secretary of the South Coast Labour Council, a longstanding Labor member and one of the organisers of the annual march.”
Around the world we must support our Brothers, Sisters and Siblings at the Port of Kembla.
Workers and people around the world need to organize against the militarization of Asia need to unite against this new US nuclear base in Australia and the reactionary AUKUS agreement.
The US and the UK with Japan and Australia is working double time to surround China a provoke another war in Asia.
Initiated by United Front Committee For A Labor Party

Why we should not dump radioactive wastewater
Study session with Dr. Makhijani and Dr. Amano
The Don’t Contaminate the Ocean with Radioactivity International Forum, which was held on December 17 of last year, was well-received. Dr. Arjun Makhijani, who was a guest speaker of the Forum, will hold a study session in May to explain the “Expert Panel Memorandum” that was prepared by him and four other scientists. Dr. Hikaru Amano will also take the stage to share his insights on this issue.
Those who register for the webinar will receive a copy of the study material, “Expert Panel Memorandum.” Please review it in advance. Should you have any questions, please send them to koreumikaigi@gmail.com by April 23. We will do our best to answer them during the webinar, but we may not be able to answer all of them due to time constraints. Thank you for your understanding.
In addition, please do not post the “Expert Panel Memorandum” on social media or a website that can be viewed by an unspecified number of people, such as Facebook, blogs, and Twitter.
In response to the Japanese government and TEPCO’s unilateral decision to dump radioactively wastewater into the Pacific as early as this summer, we should deepen our understanding on this issue and engage in actions to stop the discharge of radioactive wastewater into the Pacific. We look forward to your participation.

6. Sunday, 9:00am – 11:30am (PT), Free virtual screening of the documentary film “Jews Step Forward”
Online registration: Webinar Registration – Zoom
The film screening will be followed by a discussion with filmmaker Marjorie Wright.
“There is one topic in America today which few will fund, no network will broadcast, and distributors are afraid to take on. This is not because it is baseless, frivolous or ephemeral. While gross violations of the Geneva Conventions, political repression, economic strangulation, racism, Apartheid and creeping genocide can be exposed across the globe, this particular example cannot be honestly or deeply addressed inside the U.S. This is a subject which involves 25% of all refugees in the world, which fuels terrorism across the world, which is the longest running injustice of the 20th century. Yet fear and censorship, both internal and external, concurrent with economic imperialism rule the discussion. Despite the routine torture, imprisonment and murder of children, institutionalized power enforces silence. Filmmakers are allowed to skirt the issues, with lyrical or bittersweet films about the refugee experience, detaching it from the ongoing reality or micro-level protest films, which extol non-violent activism without ever dealing with the oppressor involved. And that oppressor is applauded for media projects which trivialize with humor, falsely equalize victim and victimizer, or excuse the perpetrator by personalizing him, while making the victim nameless, faceless and cut from cardboard. This is the subject of Jews Step Forward.” — Marjorie Wright.
