8. Sunday, 7:00am – 7:00pm, The Right of Return Pilgrimage for Gaza
Register: Right of Return Pilgrimage Registration
Location: East Bay, CA (Starting in Alameda, ending in Berkeley)
Distance: 22-mile journey, in 7 legs, symbolizing the distance from Rafah to Gaza City.
Starting at Islamic Center of Alameda
Ending at West Berkeley Shellmound
On June 8th, 2025, join Interfaith4Ceasefire to walk in public witness for the Palestinian Right of Return to their homes and families. We also walk to affirm the human right to remain, return, and migrate. We will walk 22 miles—from Alameda to Berkeley—in reverse of last year’s pilgrimage route, journeying in prayer and solidarity with the right to return, symbolizing the distance from Rafah to Gaza City. This effort is part of the global movement of Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimages that began last year and continues on.
We gather in pilgrimage across spiritual and cultural communities because we uphold human life, dignity and mutual well-being as foundations of our spiritual beliefs. We recognize that the atrocities being carried out by U.S. tax dollars against the Palestinian people are intertwined with cruel and harmful U.S. policies of family separation, incarceration and criminalization that harms immigrants, unsheltered people, Indigenous, trans and BIPOC communities.
This daylong journey will include scheduled stops for collective prayer and action, with opportunities for participants to join for shorter legs. A route can be previewed on our pilgrimage webpage. Adjustments may still be made.

~ GLOBAL MARCH TO GAZA ~
June 12 – June 20 – March to Gaza

Global March To Gaza – Walking Together, Opening Roads to Life for Gaza.
MARCH TO GAZA! Join the international call aimed at opening the Rafah crossing to allow the flow of life-saving aid into Gaza.
This is a moment that requires new tactics to break the political siege on Gaza. We need to continue to increase the pressure however we can for as long as Gaza is under attack.
The situation in Gaza is unbearable and governments and international bodies have failed to intervene to deliver justice for the people of Palestine. So we must do it ourselves.
An international congregation will meet on June 15 in Egypt and will make its way towards the border with Rafah.
The march is set to begin in Cairo on June 12, after which the group will travel to Al-Arish and subsequently proceed on foot toward the Gaza border.
The marchers plan to camp at the Rafah border crossing as a form of nonviolent protest, applying peaceful pressure to open the crossing and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Join the movement and march to Gaza!

Key Objectives of the March
According to the organizers, the main goals include:
1. Stop the Genocide
Collective, practical action to halt ongoing Israeli crimes, especially the use of starvation as a weapon and the systematic killing of children.
2. Immediate Humanitarian Aid Access
Demand for direct and urgent entry of food, medical supplies, and essentials through the Rafah Crossing, where thousands of trucks have been stuck at the border.
3. End the Siege
Call for the unconditional opening of a stable humanitarian corridor and removal of restrictions preventing access to food, clean water, fuel, and medicine
4. Mobilize International Opinion
Unite civil societies across countries to expose war crimes, pressure governments, and engage global media in supporting justice and Palestinian human rights.
5. Accountability for War Crimes
Call for legal and ethical accountability for all parties contributing to or complicit in violations against the Palestinian people.
