Sean Monterrosa was a 22-year-old Latino American man who was fatally shot on June 2, 2020, by Vallejo police officer Jarrett Tonn. Monterrosa was on his knees and had his hands above his waist when Tonn shot him through the windshield of his unmarked police pickup truck. The police later said Tonn shot him because he erroneously believed a hammer in Monterrosa’s pocket was a gun.[2] Monterrosa later died at a local hospital.

The event sparked outrage in the Bay Area, particularly in Vallejo, which has a long history of police violence, excessive force complaints, and high-profile killings,

The Starry Plough Pub
3101 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley

You may have read about Rumeysa Ozturk, Mahmoud Khalil, Yunseo Chung, or Alireza Doroudi. These university students, who were born in other countries, were
arrested by ICE. Most were sent to detention centers far away from their U.S. homes. They face deportation for speaking out or writing about U.S. foreign policy or for simply
associating with others who have done so.

admitting them at all. Join us for a discussion about the threat to foreign students and what can be done about it.

Speakers include:
Peter Toma – UAW local 4811, UC Berkeley
Kareem – International student organizer at UC Berkeley. Iraqi National

7. Monday, 2:00pm, Purge Palantir rally

RSVP: Purge Palantir Palo Alto – July 14th – Action Network

Palantir office,
100 Hamilton Avenue,
 Palo Alto

Palantir makes billions off surveillance, deportation, and genocide.

Palantir’s technology allows ICE to identify, locate, and kidnap migrants en masse. Their spy-cop tools track activists and organizers. The Israeli military uses Palantir tech to commit genocide in Gaza.

Now, Palantir is building out the most dangerous mass surveillance system in modern US history. Their mega data platform would access the private personal information of every single person in the US: from our bank records to medical data, immigration status, and more.

Palantir co-founder and chairman Peter Thiel is one of Trump’s biggest donors. In exchange, Trump has funneled at least $113 million in federal contracts to build out these dystopian business plans.

The Western occupation of Haiti has led to mass unrest, disruption of civil life, and a deepening reproductive crisis across the island. With Haitian migrants being targeted by oppressive immigration policies here in the U.S., it’s an important time to learn what’s actually happening.
