It’s about much more than peace. We’re standing up to oppression of all kinds, as you can see in our 8 demands. And we’re emphasizing that the trillion$ squandered on the military would be better spent on housing, healthcare, education, transition to fossil fuel free energy, ecological remediation etc. It’s all related! Many details of the local march/rallies have been confirmed. We got permits for the rallies, but not for the march (to avoid barging in on another group that might have reserved the space.) We’re getting porta-potties etc. At this point we especially need help with outreach/publicity, sign/banner making, and fund-raising. Another way to help is to get your organizations to endorse.
If you want the corporate war profiteers v democracy issue to be highly visible, as I do, please
come on Monday. and sign up for (or help organize,) a sign-making party.
You are welcome to join us! I am impressed with the lead organizers’ facilitation skills and am soaking that in. They are experienced and wise.

Vote yes on item 27 on 3/27. The voters deserve a chance to update the Berkeley City Charter re police accountability to respond to the national Black Lives Matter movement, to reflect this decade’s best practices, and to respond to public concerns expressed in the NAACP/ACLU coalition town halls.
And on Tues March 27 – 6pm, pack the Berkeley council chambers at 2134 MLK Jr. Way to express support for item 27:
