The health care crisis is set to get even worse. Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress slashed Medicaid funding by $1 trillion and let Affordable Care Act subsidies expire at the end of 2025. At the same time, health care costs are expected to continue rising faster than inflation.
As a result, health care will be put further out of reach for countless people in our state, but we have a solution: CalCare.
As we prepare for the reintroduction of CalCare legislation in February, we’re hosting four town halls across California to:
- Galvanize community members and encourage them to share how our broken health care system is negatively impacting them.
- Highlight the worsening health care crisis and explain how CalCare is the solution.
- Provide ways to take action and build support for a universal, single-payer health care system in California that would guarantee health care to all.
Berkeley is up next! Let’s show legislators how the health care crisis is affecting constituents in their own backyard and what they can do to address it.
Join your neighbors at our Berkeley CalCare Town Hall on Saturday, February 7th at 2 PM: RSVP now!
