Tuesday was a huge victory for so many reasons. Democrats now control the House of Representatives — that means we have a crucial check on Trump and an opportunity to advance key progressive issues.
One of those is HR 676 – the Expanded & Improved Medicare for All Act. With the Democrats now in the majority, we can move HR 676 to the House floor and pass it — but only if we continue to build the mass movement and step up the pressure on politicians.
For the first time ever, passing Medicare for All in the House is within sight. But we need your help to get there. We’re coming together with progressive organizations across the country on Tuesday, November 13th at 5 pm Pacific / 8 pm Eastern to talk about next steps.
We’ll be joined by special guests Senator Bernie Sanders, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, Our Revolution President Nina Turner, National Nurses United Executive Director Bonnie Castillo, and more.
We know we are at a tipping point in this movement. 70% of Americans support Medicare for All. Progressive candidates up and down the ballot ran on this issue and won in large part because of it. HR 676 already has 123 co-sponsors, which was unimaginable a few years ago. In July, Representatives Pramila Jayapal, Keith Ellison, and Debbie Dingell launched the first ever Medicare for All Caucus in the House of Representatives, and that caucus now has 77 members who are committed to Medicare for All.
Even the President has seen the rapidly growing popularity and feels threatened enough to lie on camera. He released a video calling Medicare for All “the worst thing that will ever happen to you and your family.” The White House then released a report that accidentally made the case for single-payer. These attacks would not be happening if momentum were not on our side.
Passing HR 676 will be a major moment of victory in our fight for real healthcare justice. Help us cross this finish line and join the national strategy call to learn more.
Thanks for all you do and for being a part of this movement with us. Onward to Medicare for All!
In Solidarity,
Nurses’ Campaign to Win Medicare for All

I am logged in to listen to the conference call. Thank you all and I appreciate all who are working on this primary issue.
I wonder if when this call is over you can provide us a link to a podcast or audio recording, and maybe some minutes or an index into the call’s content?
Big respect to all the nurses! You are all awesome and such hard workers. You have gotten the ball rolling on this.
