Defender is a groundbreaking new film on the criminal justice system in America with Jeff Adachi as the Director, Writer, and Producer.  He reveals to us the underbelly of the criminal justice system playing the real-life role of San Francisco Public Defender performing the critical role of seeing justice done in an all-too-often unjust system.

This insightful documentary focuses on Adachi and his team as they take on the high-profile case of 22-year old Michael Smith after he is charged with nine counts of resisting arrest. (Run-time: 70 min)

Jeff Adachi will be our post-screening speaker.
